Hooverphonic with Orchestra release their breathtaking rendition of “Unfinished Sympathy” as their new single. A video has been created, comprised entirely of shots made throughout their 6 sold out concerts at the Koningin Elisabethzaal in Antwerp. These were attended by over 12.000 people in March and April 2012. “Unfinished Sympathy” touches on both Hooverphonic’s past and present, blending their current orchestral project with a song by Massive Attack, influential to the band’s early years in the late 90’s. The track has been lifted off the album “Hooverphonic with Orchestra” which was released on March 9th 2012. This album truly is a Hooverphonic deluxe collection with orchestral versions of classic Hooverphonic tracks plus 2 brand new songs. The album “Hooverphonic with Orchestra” spent 2 weeks at number 1 in the charts, sold over 20.000 units and was certified platinum. The group has taken this concept album on the road with 6 sold out concerts in Antwerp, international dates (Paris, Prague, Sofia, Ankara…) and two major Belgian festival performances on June 23rd at Genk On Stage (Genk) and July 20th at Beleuvenissen (Louvain). Finally, on October 26th this era will reach its climax with Hooverphonic taking the stage at the Antwerp Sportpaleis with a 65 strong orchestra for a celebration of the band’s 15th anniversary.
